Quality of
Records & Grading

We,
at YAS
Keeping
in mind the records, with which we are dealing, were pressed approximately 30 to 40 years ago, it is
almost impossible to find one in a 'perfect' condition now.
If
we discard the 乪conditions乫 of records from our checklist, it may not be as
difficult a task to search for rare vintage ones; but since we focus primarily
on records that would bring us pleasure to our experience of listening to
music, 乪sound quality乫 becomes our main concern.
Products
marked 乪N.O.S乫 stands for 乪New Old Stock乫, most of which have probably been
kept in the warehouse for long, etc; some covers may however show signs of slight
wear. We intend to deal with
as many N.O.S records as possible, but as mentioned earlier, this is becoming
more and more demanding.
Turning
attention to second-hand LPs, our top priority, again, will be the
surface quality of the vinyl.
Record covers may show some damage, but not to an extent that is
severely worn out or unattainable.
Two
gradings in our list are for Cover / Vinyl, rated
between 乪G乫 and 乪M乫, 乪Good乫 and 乪Mint乫 accordingly.
